How to make frozen Margaritas
Save some money! Get ready to learn how to make a frozen Margarita! We all know that bar hopping is not exactly cheap, unless we are talking happy hour. And even then, if you enjoy more than two cocktails, then you know your pocket will suffer a bit. So, what about making some margaritas at home for you and your friends? That way you’ll have money for the taxi coming back home.
You’ll need some ingredients and a blender, and you can host the pre-party with frozen margaritas!
Ingredients (one frozen margarita):
- Lime
- Kosher salt
- 2 oz. tequila
- 3/4 oz. fresh limejuice
- 1 oz. Triple Sec or Cointreau
- 1 cup of crushed ice
- Garnish: lime wedge
First, rub a lime around the rim of a Margarita glass and dip the glass in kosher salt. Some people don’t like salt, so ask first. Then put in the blender the ice, tequila, Triple Sec or Cointreau and the limejuice. Blend until smooth and pour immediately onto the salted glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
You can also make it with fruit flavors like strawberry. In that case, use strawberry liquor instead of Triple Sec; use half cup of ice and half cup of fresh strawberries. Garnish with strawberry. Is there anything better than a frozen Margarita on a hot summer night? Well, maybe a Caipirinha!
Enjoy it! And please, don’t drink and drive!
